Suggestions on how to save Gas?

I have just filled gas today and it was a whooping $72.41 !  What's with the high price of gasoline?   I have been trying to save on things left and right and gas prices are just going up and up.  

Here in Renton, WA gas prices is $4.059 per galloon.   I think some cities has $4.26 per galloon or even higher!   Big *sigh* to that, because this is one of the things that I don't even have control over, and things that I need to buy because I need my car to drop and pick up my my daughter in school.
